Alright usually when i bust out the metronome. I will play some easy 3 notes per beat, at around 80bpm. After 5 mins of constant 1,2,3 1,2,3. I will start changing it up. Going from 1,2,3. To 1,2,3,4,5,6 etc. and then jump to 1,2,3,4. Then back to a constant 1,2,3. I pretty much after warming up. Jump from faster play at the same speed, to slower speeds. Staying in time. Would you say this is good, or bad??

As long as you stay in tempo it's more than just great! smile.gif

Pretty good way to articulate picking, going back from fast to slow, instead going ONLY from slow to fast.

Thanks man. Soemtimes i can be diffuclt going from. Like 2 notes per best to 6 then back to 2, then to 3. Its can be very challenging at higher speeds. I got the idea from you lessons tongue.gif

Sure it is wink.gif

Changing timing is great for many things,
it gives more color if you're just jamming or playing for real, composing etc.
Add to this a fine note choice and you're the hit. smile.gif

Yeah,it requires many years of playing and experience indeed.
Good for it is also to listen to many different players and styles.
Then just grad the best from each and combine with your own stuff. wink.gif
