Removal Of Lessons Board

Hey there,

I have decided to no longer present new lessons in the forum - instead I will (just as everyone else) drop a line in the lesson feedback. New lessons are perfectly visible on the main page! biggrin.gif Also my short introduction words will be visible in the lesson description on the main page.

Either way - what I wanted to notify you about is that we will soon remove the "Guitar Lesson Updates & Requests" board.

The idea is that requests are best done on the individual instructors board (this is already happening). And other types of requests will go into the main board ("Masterclass Guitar Forum").

Unless anyone has any other suggestion you will see this happening pretty soon. smile.gif

I agree with this decision Kris. Blindwillie, I'm the opposite! tongue.gif I never hit view new posts. I use the main page and browse through the forums from time to time, works for me. I never checked the lessons board. I always thought it was kind of strange that we had two topics going on each lesson (in the lesson itself and on this board).

[edit] Kris, I also made a post in reply to one of andrew's posts talking about instructor forums. No one commented on my thoughts though tongue.gif I'm bringing this up here because it was also about removing forums - specifically the extra forums some of the instructors have. With something like 14+ (and growing) sub forums for instructors, when some of them have 5 or more sub-sub forums, it gets really confusing and hard to find things sometimes. I was just suggesting that each instructor should have one or perhaps two forums each, rather than 5 or 6. I don't think any of them are getting so many posts that they really need to organize them how they are right now. What do you think?

Sounds right to me(not that you needed my ok or anything), I always saw the new lessons from the main page, I go to the forums from there as well, usually from a post that is already on the main page.

Board removed today!

In responce to JVM's (and a few other peoples' as well) we have also added the instructor names to the boards that caused confusion. This way it should be easier to see in which board a certain topic is situated - when using the "view new posts" feature! smile.gif
