I love Dunlop Jazz III picks. They are perfect. I dont really play much speedpicking though.

Edit: When I think about it, I use speedpicking every day with my band. I dont see any problems with that pick.

I am playing with Jazz III for a few weeks now, first it was too small for me, but than i got used to it. It's great for speed picking, but i like "Ibanez Heavy" more. Something is wrong with sweeping using Jazz III so for now i am using both Jazz III and Ibanez Heavy in my practicing. Still trying to find out which one is better.

Have you tried Jazz III XL? They are a tiny bit bigger but same shape/gauge. I like em.

You can get 3 different tips but the most popular is the sharp tip (1.38) - the others are slightly thinner.

I use the Jazz 3's as well. The little red ones. On recommendations found on the board here somewhere.

I haven't gotten around to trying anyting else yet.

I use the 1.38 (black) jazz III's and I love them. I can't use big picks anymore for playing any leads. Sweeping is still pretty good on the III but it takes some getting used to.

I can't use any that are lower than 1.00 (unless on the acoustic)

I find the Dunlop's to stiff and small. I don't get along at all with them.
I use Brain picks. They are regular sized and have small dots where you hold them wich gives good grip. They are shaped as a "regular" pick but can easily be cut down or reshaped with a pair of scissors to prefered size, which I do. I cut them down to something inbetween a regular pick and a Jazz.

I use the Jazz III XL pick for my electric guitar playing. For my acoustic guitar playing I use.. Can´t remember the name.. I think it´s dunlop and it´s gray. They have different thickness and the white is thinner. If that helps to know what it is.. Never broken any of my picks, ever.

HOWEVER =) I went to compose some songs at my friends house yesterday. Didn´t have any gear with me so I borrowed an acoustic from him and pick. It was like those Fender picks, pretty good looking you know. They have them like red, blue, orange for example. (They kind of look like the fancy fender pick-protection on the guitar. Like a shell or something) And the surfice is bad!! After 10 seconds of playing you have to much sweat so they start to glide. I broke 2 picks in less then 5 min.!!!
Then I went for a 0.80~ who I think is to thick for acoustic chords. That didn´t brake for 1-2 hours of playing.
