I just joined today, and wanted to say hi and give an introduction.
I started playing the guitar and taking lessons when I was 13; but when I was about 18,
I became frustrated with my lack of progress and quit.
A few weeks ago, for some reason I had the urge to play again, so I blew the dust
off my old guitar and started messing around with it. I'm 35 now, so it's been
quite a while. I found this site, and have been checking out quite a few of the
lessons. I am very impressed with GMC, and I've been inspired to start playing again.
My main musical influences would be rock and metal bands from the 70's and 80's like
Motley Crue, Guns N Roses, The Scorpions, and Metallica.
