3 Notes Per String

When ever i try to add three notes per string licks to my solos they sound very scalar. does aynone have any tips or examples of how to fix this thanks?

You can do loads of things with just a single octave. Mix the notes, mix the duration of notes, if you want to play 3nps stuff than i guess you want to make it fast so it will most likely sound scalar unless you mix boxes. One word - experiment!

Yeah dude, dont be afraid of trying out new things. Sometimes it takes sometime to get used to not doing scalary runs, and such. And if you cant ever get out of the scalar runs. Just try using them as build ups. Also check out a lot of different shredders. Neoclassical ones like Rob Marcello, and such!!
