Lyrics:

This was my first Kid Rock purchase, I was surprised at how good most of the tracks are. He does use quite a bit of profanity in some of the tracks and it works in all but one.

Music Quality:

I was really impressed at how easily he goes from a country to a rock to a ballad sound without any difficulty. I find the band to be quite good but they also don't press much musicly either.

Overall Impression: 8

I like the CD quite a bit and would reccomend it to those who are looking for a change of pace. I'm going to buy kid Rock again and will also look into buying some of his previous work.

Nice review. Thanks.
I like this album. It surprised me alot. I did not expect that from him. He could have toned down the profanity a bit.

I will look into his earlier works too, this album made me curious.

Forgot to mention that some of the songs got me thinking of Jackson Browne

And John Cougar Mellencamp

Whether it is acknowledged in society or not, Kid Rock is probably one of the most talented musicians of today. He's done a lot of different music, started with rap and now this! I saw him do a song where he played the piano, and found myself quite impressed.

I got this album last week, and I really like it; best stuff he has put out since his "Cocky" CD. Whether you like him or not (and I do), the dude does have talent. He can sing, rap, play guitar, play piano, play drums, spin turntables...and all while drinking a beer and having a smoke laugh.gif
