Its possible with some research. laugh.gif

Of course Allan Holdsworth and Shawn Lane will most likely top the list

Well yeah, research, but I dont think anyone at GMC actually listen to this many jazz guitarists. Would be weird to put tons of guitarists on a list when we havent even heard them play ohmy.gif

I like jazz, but I'm more into saxamaphones, trumpets, piano etc when it comes to jazz tongue.gif

Oh btw, heres a few jazz guitarists that we can perhaps have in the list:

Jon Larsen
Halgeir Pedersen
Stanley Jordan
Joe Pass

Yeah I havent heard much from a lot of them either but I plan on checking out a lot of guitarists on those lists from that site. Perhaps we could come across some very underrated but well talented musicians.

Perhaps even make lists based on certain styles like on that site. 100 Greatest Jazz Guitarists, 100 Greatest Metal Guitarists, etc.

We can definitely do that....but later.

As many varied styles as there are to playing guitar (wow that rhymed. I should start rapping) I think this instrument is more "universal" than we tend to let on. A great guitar player is a great guitar player, and we recognize them as such no matter the style. So for simplicities sake, lets do this list first.

But I do like your idea wink.gif

I wouldn't talk to Muris like that. He might kill you with his lightening speed shred.
