I have been playing my Telecaster for a long time now. I really like the feel, the sound, the playability of Fenders.
I play Blues and Rock. Now that I am a member of GMC I feel the need to start playing some METAL!
So ... now I wanted humbuckers. A friend plays a Les Paul, he swears by it, so does every other guitarist.
Went to the local guitar shop to play a few Epi LPs. For me they felt o.k., didnt really like the feel of the neck, I was sure I'd get used to it. Had one picked out. Took another stroll around the shop and this guitar caught my eye, I grabbed it, played it and bought it very soon after.
The guitar is a Schecter C-1 Elite.
This is one hot guitar. Not only does it play and sound incredible, but the cosmetics and the detail that they put into their guitars makes them stand out from the others.
If any of you out their are looking to buy another axe make sure to check out Schecter.

Hey Man, I was sooooo close to buying a Schecter. Sooo close. I ended up going w/ an Ibanez instead and I already have a Epi LP. It's hard for me to find guitars b/c I'm a lefty, but if it's still available when I'm ready to buy another guitar this is going to be my next one HERE.

Such a beautiful guitar. I just can't justify buying two guitars back to back..... smile.gif

Go for Schecters. Hands down, the best guitars for any struggling musician who is short on cash but still want an ass kicking guitar. If you get any of the diamond series guitars, Schecter supposedly adjust the action of every guitar which is great.

Why buy a knock-off guitar like an Epiphone Les Paul when you can get something original for the same price?

Schecters make decent player guitars, and I'm curious how they get such incredible finishes on such cheap guitars. No other guitar mfg seems to have the balls to put see thru finishes on their midrange guitars, but apparently Schecter does, in spades. Seems like every model has some sort of see thru finish available. I have a Gryphon, it's served me well, but I want hotter pickups, so it will go the way of the dinosaur fairly soon. (I played an ESP Eclipse II and it floored me, so I'm saving up for that tongue.gif). All that said, if you are really after playing metal on your guitar, you might snag a Hellraiser, the EMGs in that thing are one of the gold standards in metal.
