Nightwish, Club Firestone: November 15, 2007

Nov 17 2007, 01:46 AM	Fire Up The Blades, Moderator Posts: 8.933 Joined: 6-March 07 From: St. Petersburg, Florida	Well, about 10-11 months ago, i purchased tickets to this show, not even knowing how good there new singer would be, i had high hopes. "Dark Passion Play" was then released and i was amazed by it, i knew there live performance would be amazing, and it was!! They came out and the entire venue screamed, not the biggest show ive been to, but the 2-3,000 sold out crowd was louder than the 90,000 sold out crowd at GIGANTOUR! Jukka, made his entrance and the intro followed by Empuu and marco came running out playing "Bye Bye Beautiful" which is like 5x heavier live. Tuomas made his entrance and the song really kicked in, then of course Annette followed him with her goddess like voice, once the whole band was on stage the crowd lost it ( i admit i was screaming the lyrics as loud as i possibly could ). The whole show was very exciting and just heaven like, i was worried about Annette doing older Nightwish songs, but they played "Everdream", "Wishmaster", "Dead To The World", "Wish I Had An Angel" and "Dark Chest Of Wonders" and Annette did a fantastic job, she really added her own touch to the songs, and her voice was flawless on them, i was not dissapointed, not in the least, the show passed ever expectation i ever had for them. They are also some very funny moments, Empuu made a dramtic leap in the air right before his solo to wishmaster, and when he hit the ground, he just stood there, the music went silent, instead of going into the solo, and the crowd all shouted at the wrong time then he made some strange comedic face at the crowd then played his solo. All in all, the SINGLE best show ive been to, it tops every show ive ever seen, i cant explain the feeling really, that euphoric feeling you get when you and a lot of other people sing the lyrics to the same songs for 2 hours while your heroes play your favorite music, its just the happiest day of my life here are some photos of them live (courtesy of the official Nightwish photographers, mine arent even uploaded to my computer yet ) Editorial note: published 2007-11-19 You are at GuitarMasterClass.net Don't miss today's free lick. In my opinion you should be there just to appreciate the music, you start looking at your camera, your focus shifts, you are no longer at the concert you are taking photos.
