Hi guys! smile.gif

I am a total noob when it comes to recording, as I spend 99.9% of my time practicing and the rest actually recording. I have managed to record a slow solo but its currently on a CD. In WAV form I belive! Now i need to obviously convert this to MP3 ? How do you guys do it? Do I need to buy some special converter software? or are there some good Freeware applications available?

Many thanks! wink.gif

WinLame also does a good job of that specific task.

Rereading your post - is this stored as a wav file on the CD, or as a regular audio CD? If it is the latter, you will need a ripper such as CDEX. If it is a file, WinLame will do the job ....

I also use cooledit to convert my own recordings to mp3, and btw Juan`s recording lesson using cooledit is very good, helped me use a lot of features I never used b4.
