Martin and Ovation acoustics are great. It all depends on your budget though.

Ibanez made an acoustic called artcore and it was very nice ,well built and sounded great.Im not sure about th ae series.Acoustic's are much easier to get great quality for an affordable price imo.You could buy a fine Fender or Ibanez acoustic for under $199.00 USD and it would work great just not with all the flash and pretty inlays smile.gif

Also if brand name doesnt matter to you i had a guitar called Sonata which i got off someone that must of stole it because i only had to pay $10.00 for it laugh.gif laugh.gif .I swear it was the best acoustic i had ever played and even beat my Martin D-16GT that i used to use.Maybe the Martin had a better tone but they have always been very uncomfortable to me.Anyways if you look on ebay i think you can grab one of these sonata acoustic's for like $50.00 and i promise you wouldnt regret it smile.gif

One bit of advice, never buy a guitar from a department store like wal-mart K-mart Target ect ect.Its all garbage and even thoughi've heard First Act makes some ok guitars (there more pricey ones) i would never want one. Also i can say that the ones like this and the electrics they have at wal mart feel like a Brick with strings, completly the worst thing i have ever held onto in my life.

I don't know if they do them in the US, but there is a maker called "Freshman". I used to own a Taylor (414CE) which was around $2500 new. Played like a dream. I played a Freshman that my friend bought, it was a grand auditorium shape, (same as my Taylor) that cost around $700 new. (It was £350 UK). And I've got to say, the Freshman was good. Very good for the price. So if you can find them over there, I suggest you at least test drive one smile.gif

Taylor ey? I really want Taylor LKSM, but it also costs around 2500$. I've never tried a Taylor, but my favorite guitarists use it, Leo Kottke(LKSM is his signature model) and Bjørn Berge.
How are those geetars?

Some day...
