January 2008 is like an approximate date. But i am sure it will be later than that.

Hehe, I'm much in the same boat, I wont be able to afford a new guitar to replace my second hand beat up telecaster until then and I've still got 5 weeks of exams and essays to contend with this term still - of which I'm failing to keep track of laugh.gif

Never the less, gotta keep it positive smile.gif

on the subject of one of Pavels previous posts...

Is anyone else getting sick and tired off seeing videos pop up with some little kid who bought a JEM and cant play it, and titles his video "Awesome Shred Solo"?

All those videos show up in the related video thing all the time in you tube.

Hey GMC'ers,

I just want to ask you, the question mentioned in the topic wink.gif
If you see your idol playing guitar, does that keep you motivated and practice more or are you like "Man, he plays so good" and you put your guitar down, because your idol is playing so good ?

Greets Max

PS: Dont take the 3rd pool choice too serious ;D

Well.... I don't know for sure. See, I have not actually seen Muris in person but his videos are what is motivating me right this very second. When I get a bit down in practicing I just stop by his myspace. That flat fixes it everytime smile.gif . He shows me what may actually be impossible for me to ever play. But more over, he also shows me what I will be able to play and that is several 100% better than I can now. cool.gif. And that my friends, is where I am going.

He does drive me to play more not stop.

If I'm feeling down about my playing...I watch some of my ska idols. Less Than Jake, Mad Caddies, or my punky idols, Bad Religion, Offspring, and I realize....THIS STUFF IS SO FUN! I'm so happy I picked up the guitar, then I start playing again...it's great to realize that as important as technique is....that's not why it's fun biggrin.gif
