Mostly, nope. It's one of the few genres of music that I avoid, so maybe I'd like it if hearing the right stuff, but it's unlikely I'll ever HEAR the right stuff tongue.gif

I can't stand it...for the most part. Anything related to this commercial rap you see everywhere, I hate it. Not just cause of the music, but I can't stand people with THAT much attitude! smile.gif
Some of you guys should check out Heiruspecs, rap band with real instruments played by the guys etc...pretty chilled, especially the song 5ves.
Timbaland is fairly good, when your driving or something, and so is that one song by Ndubz biggrin.gif ndubz vs. naa

I like old school hip hop, like Beastie Boys and Run DMC, but I pretty much hate the majority of this genre.

Oh and I used to listen alot to a norwegian rap group called Tungtvann during my skateboard days. I still like a couple of their songs, like this one for instance http://youtube.com/watch?v=xvQBVKOvaZI

Yes.

I answered the question the same way I would answer "Do you like rock music?" There's a lot of rock I don't like, and there's a lot of rap I don't like, but when it's right its so good.

"No" is winning so far biggrin.gif biggrin.gif I am pretty sure it will stay like that biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

It would be like visiting a RAP forum and making a poll: "Do you like rock music?" - there would be like 98% of "no" answers biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Actually I know quite a few rappers and people who grew up with rap and all that, almost all of them like rock but it doesn't go the other way around. Go figure.

I took "a little", since I listened a lot to looptroop and such when I was younger, so I still respect the musicians, and even today I listen to some rap, like Atmosphere and Sage Francis.

Rap reminds me of the religious thing among some fundamentalist Christian sects, "talking in tongues". They talk real fast, and nothing they say makes any sense.

I like a lot of different music (except country lol) and rap is one of them...but I believe that the songs coming out today about sex and brand name clothes and *BLING* no no no thats destroying rap.
rap and hip-hop used to be arts of storytelling. If your ever interested in good rap listen to the lyrics of The Notrorious B.I.G. or tupac or the beastie boys. THEY knew how to do it! lol tongue.gif

I`ve listened a rap and hiphop when i was younger (in grade school tongue.gif). I think that it is a very primitive form of music if not music at all. It is more like a rhytmic talking expression. I know it sounds stupid but i think it is true. Some songs have meaning, but even that is ripped off from blues, soul standards etc

PS and i am talking about old school and gansgta rap, this new sh*t is terrible smile.gif

Some rappers are quite talented in writing poetry and lyrics but it isn't really music on its own.

You guys should check out stuff like Dear Mama, or Stan on youtube. Classic stuff that really has a message and meaning, plus some great melodies and such.
