hi there i just wanted to introduce my self im new to the site and ive been browsing aound and exploring for a couple days now and i love the variety of material here. i am very new to guitar i just started a couple months ago. i bought a epiphone les paul and a line six amp but i was having trouble finding some instructional stuf that that i could use on my own time. When i found GMC i was pretty pumped and signed up almost emidiatly. so i just wanted say hey and if anyone has any advice or anything im always open to suggestions

welcome to GMC. My advice is to always practice with a metronome and try and start with the proper technique straight away so when playing always hold your thumb against the back of the neck. Not over the top. And just practice every day even if you can only squeeze 30 mins in one day. Good luck mate and hope you stick with it and enjoy your time here biggrin.gif

I have some advice for you that took me a while to figure out. Many of the lessons on here look crazy hard and impossible to play but its worth it to learn the ones you like anyways because almost always there are slower backings that you can play along with

Well GMC has so many great lessons but if your fairly new to guitar I'd start with the beginners section then head to the 101 lessons. Also Andrew's theory lessons are a big help.
