I was one of the lucky few to see Led Zeppelin's one off reunion gig last night.

Here is the set list:

‘Good Times Bad Times’
‘Ramble On’
‘Black Dog’
‘In My Time Of Dying’
‘Your Life’
‘Trampled Under Foot’
’‘Nobody’s Fault But Mine’
‘No Quarter’
‘Since I’ve Been Loving You’
‘Dazed And Confused’
‘Stairway To Heaven’
‘The Song Remains The Same’
‘Misty Mountain Hop’
‘Kashmir’
‘Whole Lotta Love’
‘Rock And Roll’

So were they any good?
In a word: yes.

You wouldn't have thought for an instant that Page, Plant and Jones are all in their 60s. They were full of energy, passion and most importantly rock and roll.
The band was shockingly tight and it was clear they were all really enjoying themselves.

Page: Yes, the old fingers are most definitely still working. Jimmy was on fire for ‘In My Time Of Dying’ and ‘Since I’ve Been Loving You’.
For ‘Dazed And Confused’ he brought out his violin bow and immersed himself in a huge sound-scape solo.

10 out of 10. A legendary concert from a legendary band.

If anyone wants to know any specifics just ask and I'll try my best to answer rather than me rambling on with a long review.

I would have given my left and right arms to be there last night. You are so lucky. (I tried to sell my soul but apparently my credit is bad with the man downstairs smile.gif tongue.gif laugh.gif )

It sounds like it was an awesome show. I've read a few news reports and all are glowing reviews. I just hope they decide to tour. So does Plant still have the chops to wail or was he a bit raspy? I had no doubt Jimmy would be on fire smile.gif

Wow, Man that is awesome! I saw Page/Plant about 10 years ago and they rocked. That must have been an awesome show. We have a couple Zep cover bands here in Chicago that are pretty good but nothing like the real thing!

I heard they weren't going to tour, but I hope they change thier mind. They certainly seemed to be enjoying themselves.

I was really suprised/impressed by Plant. Before the gig I thought that he might be the weak link and to be honest there were a few times where he sang a bit lower instead of going for all the high notes but he hit all the ones that mattered (which included some really high and powerful stuff). But that is being super critical, he still wipes the floor with most rock singers.

I was there and loved every minute of it. Awesome gig and it looked like they were really into it. I was lucky and we had incredible seats right by the stage.

Page truly stepped it up. He broke his left pinky finger I believe a couple weeks before the concert was schedule.

Saw them twice back around 1970. Once at Madison Square Garden. Robert Plant threatened to stop the show because some jackass was throwing cherry bombs off the upper decks. They were exploding above the crowd below. Hard to believe anyone could be that irresponsible. The first time I saw them I don't remember much of if you know what I mean. Like they say. If you remember the 60's (or early seventies) you weren't there. They should do what Cream did. Shows in England and then some over here.
