Jsut a little warning: if you play it and it feels strange -> don't worry -> usually guitars at guitar-stores are not set-up! I bought a JEM which felt totally strange at store, but i got it home, did a setup and now it plays like butter smile.gif

JEM is JEM -> nothing to be worried about! smile.gif And if you try a whammy bar and it goes out f tune, it means the lockers were not locked wink.gif

Have fun man and i am glad we are getting another JEM-er in the club smile.gif

I must confess I didn't know what it looked like so I'd googled it.

Nice guitar, tho I'm not sure about the 'handle'. I also didn't realise it had scooped frets where the neck is bolted to the body! The only guitarist I knew who had scooped frets was Ritchie Blackmore.

Good luck with the purchase smile.gif

The handle is just a design trick and i like it a lot - really adds some touch to the guitar smile.gif Last 4 frets are scalloped and there are a lot of guitars scalloped nowadays smile.gif

We had loads of topics on scalloped frets - it's a matter of preferences, but to me - it improves the access and feeling of high frets. It's easier to fret high frets if they are scalloped.

yehaaa got the jem and its amaaaaaaazing!
dont know what to say such a big difference to my good old fender smile.gif
tomorrow i have to look some things up, i want to put new strings on etc. and dont know how ( of course i know it on my old guitar but this whole tremolo thing looks so complicated, i dont want to break sth. ) ...
i write back later, i guess there are some questions left..

up to know.. thanks!

ps: the scalloped frets are amazing, so easy to fret and even vibrato works much better!
pss: sustain is amaaaazing!
