Hey, thats great man, congratulations and good luck in the shopping!
Off course, it is a must to try the acoustic guitar in store to see wheter it is comfortable for you to play or not. Lot of models in that price range are not comfortable, and sometimes if you buy something without trying it, you can end up with a terrible guitar. Just to bare in mind. -------------------- - Ivan's Video Chat Lesson Notes HERE

Fkalich is 100% right here, this time of year is nasty for shipping,
specially for instrument such as acoustic guitar. Personally,I wouldn't buy it on Ebay in a first place cause guitar needs to be tried but as you said,it's a gift so I wish you luck -------------------- Youtube

Nylon stings will have no problem "holding" if she is playing songs with alot of strumming. As long as she isn't strumming too hard she will be fine. Maybe buy her a classical guitar lesson and show her how to play chords with her fingers on a classical... if she is willing to put the time in to strengthen her chord muscles and tendens in the right hand. +1 - I spent the first 5 years of my guitar life strumming nylon strings - no problem! -------------------- Check out my Instructor profile

It looks good, and the reviews are good, but like with all guitars (especially acoustic), I think its always safest to try out a guitar first before you buy. Off topic, but what happened to the fur elise lesson by Vinod??? am I blind or has it disappeared? Your right, its gone. ?????? I was just doing it a couple hours ago too. I played Ovation and loved it, as soon as i have some free money i will spend it on a good acoustic guitar. I am also thinking about Dean acoustic guitar so some guitar try-outs are on the way hehehe
