And I'll keep working on a chorus thing. Likely what we'll end up doing is I'll be panning my guitar to the right, yours to the left, and I'll keep playing into the chorus and then you can later add some kick to it on top of my recording (thats easily done later though).

So I'll get to work on that and if nothing else I'll have an upload with no chorus tomorrow. Good work smile.gif

i thought the video no.5 in the muse lesson was suposed to be the chorus ohmy.gif
how i made it with vocals it sounds a bit like a chorus, but it might be great as prechorus:)
ill get you the vocals tomorrow:)

Hey guys I've been real sick the past few days. I'm just not playing as well, bad cold. Tried recording it a couple times but I messed up so I think I should wait this out if I'm to record the main riff. Munta, hows your hand? If video 5 is going to be the chorus we'll need to record one last time. I'll put mine up first so you know what to play, but in a couple days I guess.

So I think it'll be intro -> silent part -> verse -> chorus -> verse -> solo -> chorus -> big ending or something like that.

Oh and audun, I think I'll use your riff for the acoustic on the solo part, but perhaps bass too, it's cool.

AH! didn't see this before...now we have it. but, what is the silent part? how long does it last? do you have any ideas for this part?
and...what riff are you gonna use of mine? XD can't remember

QUOTE (JVM @ Dec 21 2007, 11:16 PM) *
Take a listen to this song, this is kind of what I intend for a chorus, it goes from the riff into a powerchord thing, simple stuff but sounds pretty good IMO (unless you don't like muse biggrin.gif). Not that I'm trying to model our song after this one, but it's kind of similar.

hehehe! didn't see this before either! but man! its very much the idea what i have for a chorus now.
Well, my chorus(and verse) is pretty much inspired by this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DR2DpgV8fPw

Agh... guys, I'm really sorry. I played it for a test a few hours ago and I nailed it, very easily.. but now, I'm feeling sick again (must have been dinner as the cold is pretty much gone except for a few coughs and sniffles here and there)...

I just can't do it. I tried 5 or 6 takes and I'm not sure why but I can't, theres always a mistake here or there and I freeze up. I know this has got to be frustrating for you guys so I'd like you to finish. I can always add stuff later when I'm better but I don't want to keep you guys back, you probably wish this was finished a month ago tongue.gif

So, munta for your benefit even though I can't play it I'm uploading a kind of map letting you know which riffs go where.. the drop is going to be left empty for now and we can finish that tomorrow or next week or whenever, but here's where the riffs go (minus the intro, you already know that part.

Attached File  M_L.mp3 ( 2.84MB ) Number of downloads: 163

At the first cue, play through videos 1-3, minus the very last tabbed part with the octave slides and D chord. Thats the verse. At the second cue, play video 5 twice except for the last part of it (I think you know what I mean). Chorus. At cue three do the same thing as cue one, verse again. After that I left blank, it should be pretty easy to see where the verse changes to the chorus again with the fill, then comes the drop/breakdown thing which we will cover later, and when thats done the chorus one final time. Hope I made sense. Sorry again.

anyways, i wont be playing guitar till i get it checked out so if you dont do it and i've had it checked out and everything is fine, i'll do it. otherwise i wont b doing any more guitar playing till its better, as a few people have said, its better to miss a few weeks/months than forever.

i thought it was already double tracked tongue.gif

im starting to think that maybe a cover would have been an easier song to start with tongue.gif although we have had quite a few health problems in this band tongue.gif
