Hi Muris,

here is my take on your B major intermidate solo lesson. I have 2 problems here , first one is to stay in tempo and second one is the tapping(well these are the ones I see). What do you see ? What do I have to work more ?

Thanks for watching.

bye.

all comments are welcome if Muris doesn't mind.

Hi and thanks for video smile.gif

There are small problems here mainly caused by timing.
Just focus yourself to play strict 16th in tapping and sweeping part,
should be a lot easier.
You got notes correct, all you have to do now is to play it "in time".
There are parts when 8th triplets are involved, same thing, watch the timing.
Fingering is ok,technique wise you're more than OK to play this,
just be a bit more in beat, that's all. smile.gif

Thanks for the feedback Muris. Staying in time has been my big problem always, I've been working really hard with the metronome but I still have problems in this kind of lessons, I guess I just need more practice. I'll upload a new video as a.s.a.p

Thanks Muris.

My updated face after days and days of practicing this one:
sad.gif

I really feel like crying!
First because my left hand pinky and my right hand middle finger really hurt!
Second, because this is SOOOO frustrating! mad.gif
I think I'm gonna spend this evening banging my head against the wall... mad.gif
Congrats, Coffeman!
Seems like you're going to nail this one pretty soon!

Thank you Coffeeman!
Todays a sad day: I just laid my right hand middle finger in it's coffin! laugh.gif
I tried everything... Mouth to mouth breathing, heart massage... But nothing!
It died this morning at 6!!! laugh.gif
But I managed to save my left hand pinky just in time! smile.gif

I guess I'll just have to rest for a few days...

Cheers, Eddie

Hey,I have idea Eddie!!
When you feel that much pain in middle finger cause of tapping,
just switch a bit on index or even ring finger,
I used to do that many times,
works quite nice, saves middle finger AND keeps you to use more fingers for tapping
which will make it easier for you when you start playing 8 fingers tap licks etc. smile.gif

Hi Muris,

The leagto lick after the sweeping lick should be played in 8 npb or in triplets? Im having problems with that one. And Im working on the tapping part to play it also in 8 nps , I dont know but I play it in triplets too.

Thanks.

Legato part is in 32th which means 8 notes per bar, yes. smile.gif
Those patterns ARE confusing a bit cause
you're playing 3 nps while counting 4 or 8,like here.
Just take it slowly in tempo, you'll be fine I'm sure. smile.gif

HELLO!!!
Ok Muris, here's where I'm at now!
I don't know why but everytime I record something
I play it worse!!!! I swear I play it better when I practice smile.gif
I know there are timing problems and the sweep is wrong,
but I concentrated on my pinky
and alternated middle and ring finger for the tapping part as you suggested!!!

Hope you see some improvements!
Thank you.

Oh, and I hope you had a great time in these days!

Cheers, Eddie

Yep,I missed it but here I am now smile.gif

This is great take Eddie, wonderful added notes and sort of improvisation!!!
There are still small issues regarding to timing,on sweep and tapping parts
but you can nail it with some extra practicing,
more focus on 16th,16th triplets,
try to understand them better and that's it. wink.gif

But greatest thing is that you're feeling free to actually "play" this lesson,
not just to repeat what I did, thumbs up Eddie!! smile.gif

Thank you Muris!
I'll definitely keep practicing it!
Sweeps and 16th notes are still very difficult for me,
especially at higher tempos... sad.gif
But what really makes me happy
is that I started using my pinky a lot more
(and your one string lesson is also great for that),
and that I'm using both my right hand middle finger AND ring finger
for the tapping part (did you notice?)
I'll do my best to nail it perfectly!

Let me thank you once again for your amazing work
and for all the motivation!

Your great fan, Eddie
