After a very long search I finally found the guitar I have been looking for. I made a detour while coming home from a business trip today and decided to check out a Guitar Center that I knew was just off the route I was traveling. I had been looking for the better part of a year to find a Les Paul Standard. I knew I wanted either a Heritage Cherrry Sunburst or a DesertBurst but I wanted to find that perfect specimen that had the perfect flame top. I walked in and there it was. When I asked the tech to take it down for me he told me that another guy who worked at the store was going to buy it this evening when he came in for his shift. The rest is history. I walked out the proud owner of a 2007 Les Paul Standard. Here she is:

Greatl guitar man, good choice and it shows that patience does pay off.

You inspired me, I just ordered a Gibson Les Paul Standard in Latte Cream, it gets here on Monday.

Funny thing is, they sold me a New unused one in Latte Cream and matched the price of a Desert Burst Blem for $1699.

I love the Desert Burst, but for that kind of $$$ I did not want to take the chance with a Blem.

Now I just hope I like the Burstbuckers as much as the 490/498s on my Studio????

Howard

Congrats on the new guitar. I love mine more as the days go by. The BB Pros are great. I think you will be very pleased. Post a picture when you get it.

Thanks.

It gets better.
The site sent me a 20% off coupon, so when they called to verify my credit card info I had them apply it.

Wow! That's a great price indeed.

All the LPs standard that I see here in europe are tagged around 2400 €, which is somewhere around 3500$ !!

And I bet the 2000$ difference isn't due to packing & shipping! mad.gif

Nice guitar Yell03!

Hey Pac, I finally found it at the Guitar Center in Jackson. I checked Mobile and New Orleans but could not find the right one. There are very few Gibson dealers in our area so I had to do a little traveling.
