He's playing with fingers, without pick, and generally he is playing, up and down while muting with left hand. smile.gif

look carefully the video and you'll see that he's strumming with fingers, and it sounds more 'saturated' than if you do it by pick smile.gif

Completely ignore the chords and move your hand up and down strumming to the melody with all the strings muted. You'll hear when to make contact and when not to. I lack the musical knowledge to really convey to you how to time it tongue.gif

Yes I see but how do you do that? You play every string with a different finger?
You're the acoustic guy so you should know hehe smile.gif

i'll try to explain you smile.gif

when you strum down, first goes ring, then middle, then index, then thumb, following each other, that sounds like you strum each string four times, the wrist is relaxed and you don't move the fingers, just the wrist

this originates from flamenco music and it is called rasgueado

maybe i could make a lesson on this issue biggrin.gif

I almost always use my fingers when playing an acoustic or chordy type of stuff, it just seems much more natural and it seems to be much easier to keep a rhythm.

P.S. ^ chordy = an awesome new word. laugh.gif
