Hi everyone, I guess this is where I introduce myself...Not sure how detailed we're supposed to get, but here goes:

Been playing for 20 yrs off and on. Actually I quit playing for about 10 years, but I'd pick a guitar up here and there and fiddle around over the years. I just got back into it about 4 /12 years ago and decided to take it a lot more seriously than before, since all I ever played in the past was rhythm so I took about 6 months of lessons from a jazz fusion guitarist. I learned a lot of scales (most of which I've forgotten by now) and a little theory.

I've improved since then, but I feel like I should be able to play better than I actually do. So I figured I'd give the site here a chance and see what comes of it. Hopefully I'll come away with a better knowledge of things, and some overall improvement. I really need to learn some new licks and could really use some help with proper phrasing, among other things.

My influences range from classic rock to metal, at the top of the list:
Tony Iommi, David Gilmour, Robbie Krieger, Zakk Wylde, Dimebag, Dave Mustaine, Jerry Cantrell

My equipment:

Schecter CS - 1 Elite EMG 81-85
Ovation (I forget which model atm) Acoustic/Electric
Peavey 6505+ HS
And about 6 fx pedals that I don't feel like listing. tongue.gif

Anyhoo, that's it in a nutshell. I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone and start learning some new stuff again! wink.gif
