I have an Ibanez RG with a basswood body, an H-S-H configuration and a locking trem. I think I would like to put in some Dimarzio pickups, and I was thinking of the Evolution, the X2N, the Super Distortion or maybe the Super 3. I like a tight, screaming tone. What would you recommend for the bridge? what about for the neck and middle (single-sized humbucker) positions? I was thinking of maybe the Seymour-Duncan Hot Rails for the middle.

Any suggestions, or advice from any of you?

Thanks,
Avenite

Seymour Duncan Dimebuckers pack a punch and can offer a very metal sound and is good at screaming but their a bit steep I think their $100+.

The Dimebucker was the first pickup I considered, but I keep hearing it is extremely treble-heavy, so it would sound terrible in a basswood body.

I was thinking about one of the Joe Satriani related pickups (the medium out level) for the neck. How are those on clean?
Or maybe the PAF Pro?
Super 2?

I went to guitar center to try out the Jem with Evolutions, which they said they had when I called the day before, but it was gone when I got there. As for the Tone Zone, I don't know of any guitars with it I can try.

I did see his guitar with what looked like a D-Sonic on it. I was about to try it out, but decided not to... I did try a Xiphos with the D-Activators, those were pretty nice.

The D-Activators edge out the HZ series in my opinion but is still a far cry from the real thing.
