Is there any particular reason why classical/spanish guitarists tend to play with the guitar on the left leg than the right.

It's just I'm am interested in heading into classical/spanish but find practicing the style is more comfortable playing in the regular on the right leg fashion.

On the left leg I feel the neck is too far away as I have to stretch further and makes it more difficult to fret notes.

so i've started finger picking drills and is there any real reason why the PIMA method is used and the pinky is left doing nothing.

I realise it can act as like a balance or pivot point, but I'm interested in learning flamenco style so my hand is not going to be even be resting in 1 spot for very long so it would seem learning to pick with the pinky resting on the guitar is probably not going to help and even hinder that progress

I'm working on just some simple power chord riff at the moment just an E5-A5-D5 riff but i'm wondering how do I stop the open strings from cotinuing to vibrate when I'm swapped down or up cause it sounds really messy then. Is there a video on here that explains how to dampening or mute them am I suppose to be using my left hand or right hand

So i've been practicing pull offs but am finding trying to do a pull of pretty much impossible in that position. I wasn't blessed with long pinkies so is it gradually going to stretch.

I know it's probably the most stretching you will ever do on a guitar due to the fret widths but I figure I might as well start off on the hard stuff

I'm running a line 6 pocket pod and on some of the guitar settings I am getting this pinging sound kind of like a whip crack echoing back every few seconds.

If I put my headphones directly into the line6 pod I don't get it really as bad

amp is just a 20W cheapo.
