I've seen the Korg Pandora and I must say, I want it. biggrin.gif

But I've heard that it isn't that great for gigs? Is this true? And what other do you guys recommend for gigs?
I thought the Pandora would be great and pretty "cheap" but if it wouldn't work that great for live play then it would be useless to buy.

What are your opinions guys?

Thanks anyway

edit: just saw I posted it in the review section in stead of the usual gear section, sorry for that
Hisham Al-Sanea

I want to record with it but I also want to gig with it.
We are just a beginning band so that won't be much and I have a Boss DS-1 for distortion but I want the cool sound that the pandora can give you

All you need for Pandora live is stereo channel on mixer or two mono channels.
I did many (smaller) gigs with it,works just fine.
But if you think doing large venues with Pandora..hmm,dunno. smile.gif
Bogdan Radovic
You can go straight to PA system, but if you don't have good monitoring on stage , or PA system is bad I would not recommend it wink.gif
Ivan Milenkovic
Don't recommend, maybe for small clubs and such as a backup or if nothing else is present, but buyins Pandora strictly to do gigs with... better go for amp.

Pretty interesting because I've the Pandora as backup unit, but I've never used - luckily.
Do you put the Pandora on your strap?

No Jerry, haven't putted it on strap still.
Those were really smaller gigs, more like jam sessions.

Muris Varajic

Dejan Farkas
You can plug it in amp but just avoid stereo effects smile.gif

O ok

But I think I'll buy the Pandora (within a couple of months probably).
I'll use it for home playing, recording and on the bands repetitions.
When I do gigs I shall see what I'll do. smile.gif

The Pandora is FANTASTIC for practice sessions at home, it really is the only tool I need. Its not really designed for gigs, but at the cheap price of the PX4D you cannot fault it !!! smile.gif

Smart thinking.
You can even play a gig with it and see the results.

DeepRoots
Ive not used it for live or group jamming, but for recording and practise its awesome. Making your own tones can be as easy or as complicated as you like- i have the PX5D model, expect a review soon (now that school is over for a few weeks)
