, I think that you can do all those things he mentioned on any sound editing program, I never thought to pan the sound to get the diffrent guitars though

This might be just what I need...Ive been stuck on learning a few parts to some songs cause I cant quite hear the guitar. Ill be trying it out later today, thx

Thanks for sharing ! Audacity is great , its got good looping features etc you can use for learning songs..

Thanks a lot man! I've used Audacity for recording for a while, but I've never though of using it this way. It's an excellent way to help develop a good ear, and to learn to tab songs myself. Really helpful so thanks once again!
