Hi to you all
On this lesson I chose to teach an original "Jimmy Page" like tune. It uses jimmy's typical playing and chord progression.
The key of this tune is D Major.

On the main chords move you can see that I've used Dsus2. It creates a familure zeppelin's atmosphere, especiely when the move exceeds the key and I hit the C note.

On this lesson I chose to bring the material in a different way.
We're gonna start from the very beginning of writing a song (or an instrumental piece).

Usually it starts with the chords, than you add the bass. Afterwards comes the fun and creative part: filling your cake with layers. You must remember to serve the song and not yourself.

Usually you take a simple bit as a metronome, it is also called guidline and it helps you stay "inside the frame"
After recording the chords you move on to the next layer…
I'm sorry that I didn't tab everything but you get all the chord shapes plus the additions (harmonies). You need to figure the way it goes by listening to it and trying to jam along with it.

main Chords:
Dsus2 A4 A Dsus2 D7 C9 G13
e|---0--2-0-----------0-------0--2-0-----2------3-----3----------------------|
B|---3------3------3--2-------3------3---1------3-----3----------------------|
G|---2-------------2--2-------2----------2------0-----0----------------------|
D|---0-------------2--2-------0----------0------2-----0----------------------|
A|-----------------0--0-------------------------3-----2----------------------|
E|----------------------------------------------------3----------------------|
Dsus2 A4 A C9 G13 Dsus2-D
e|---0--2--0---------0-----3---3----0--2-------------------------------------|
B|---3-------3----3--2-----3---3----3--3-------------------------------------|

Bass- i used a normal guitar with a bass sound effect. Most of the time I accompany the chord, but from a time to time I put a different harmony. The harmonies that you use have their own rules (according to the scale).
I tried to achieve a reliable bass sound by using my fingers the way a bassist would.

bass

B|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
G|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|---------0--77-0---5-5-5-5---3-3-3-3--3-2----------------------------------|
E|--6\10-10----------------------------------3-3-1-1-------------------------|

e|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|

G|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
D|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
A|-----5-5-0-0-0---5-7-7--0-0-0-0-------------2-2-3-3--5-7-5-0-0-0-----------|
E|----------------------------------3-3--3-3---------------------------------|

After recording the first set of chords and adding on it the bass, I've recorded the same chords in a completely different manner. I used a high position that you can see on the tabs.
The chords that I used and the way that I used it fills up the "tube" (in the words of pink floyd). It is played slow and it doesn't take the whole box so it can be used only as an additional part.

Riff 3:
e|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|----10----------10----10--------10----10----------10---13----------13------|
G|-------11----11----------9----9----------11----11---------12----12---------|
D|----------12---------------11----------------12--------------14------------|
A|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|

e|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|--10----------10--10-----------10---13----------13-------------------------|
G|-----11----11--------9------9----------12----12----------------------------|
D|--------12--------------11----------------14-------------------------------|
A|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
E|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|

e|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|
B|-12-----------10-----------------------------------------------------------|
G|----12----12-----11----11-12-11--------------------------------------------|
D|-------12-----------12-----------------------------------------------------|
A|---------------------------------------------------------------------------|

It's always nice to have some psychedelic sounds on the background. To create thos sounds I've used harmonic sounds, aka overtones. The notes that I play are bound to the same rules as the rest of the music but the character that it gives is a different story.
To produce this sound you need to touch the fret gently. In order to create this sound, use the marked spots on the griff. (3, 5, 7, 9, 12…). Some are easier than others. I suggest that each one will make his own research.

This layer gives a floating atmosphere to the whole tune, and to help that I've used the tremolo system (similar to floyd rose).

This time I didn't record each part twice (normal speed and low speed) because it's slow enough.

I have not had chance to work on this lesson yet but I know from reading it that I will get a lot from it.

I am so busy outside of guitar playing this last week or 2 and perhaps for the next 6 weeks so I dont get much chance at all to try it but I really am looking forward to doing so.

I do want to record each layer and put it all together at some point, I just dont know when I will find the time - hang in there dude and I will let you know how it goes.
