As I sit here and try to push my tempo up a tad I am figuring out that if I play with my eyes closed I can feel if my picking is on track or getting off. Yes, weird I know.

It is as if I can see my hand moving in my mind and tell real fast any mistake I am making.

This is helping me big time, look out here I come, LOL

When I am comfortable with an exercise I stare off into space, and don't look at either hand - kinda the same thing ...

Very neat topic. If you love what your playing and feel what your playing as well as being comfortable with how it sounds, You close your eyes.
