When you slide on your guitar, do you know by feel where you are?

Any slide past 4 or 5 frets and I'm in no man's land.

Same here. I just lose my control after 5 frets.

5 frets works well, but after that it's literally closing my eyes and hoping for the best

I have to admit to being an eyeball slider as well

well, ear helps a lot. you just stop your hand when the right note comes up

I can usually nail the longer slide without looking, but it happens that I make a mistake, that always sounds terrible
