I think we all agree that album art is an improtant part of experiencing music etc.. but I just wondered what album covers you really like. You don't even have to like the music, but if there's album covers out there that really impress you, what are they ?

I've always been impressed by the artwork of Paul A. Romano who did the covers for Mastadon. I'm not even a fan of the band but the artwork is so good it would make me want to but their albums and merchandise.. and that's one of the things artwok is supposed to do !

So nobody likes album art ? C'mon I know that's not true...

This topics remembers me that when I was a child, I loved Iron Maiden's album covers and used to check every album at the stores many years before I heard or like them... I'm talking about when I was 9 to 12 years old.

So simple, but again is impressive!

I always really love John Dyer Baizley's stuff. He plays in that band Baroness and does all of their album artwork. He's also done stuff for Kylesa, Pig Destroyer, Skeletonwitch, Flight of the Conchords, Black Tusk, and so on. Once you've seen his artwork you'll always recognize it. His style really leaves an impression on you. Just do a google image search for "John Dyer Baizely" and you'll get a ton of his artwork.

Anything Iron Maiden. They will always be THE best album covers of all time, combine that with single artwork, t-shirt art, tour art, its just amazing. Riggs for the win!
