Spiff but a bit overkill for walking about
Many folks just use the phones that came with their phone/ipod/etc. which results in a somewhat limited listening experience IMHO, but they are free after all
Once folks outgrow the stock cans, they dive in to the "Aftermarket" which has exploded. I"ve been using SKULL CANDY INK'D ear buds with a built in mic for my iphone so I can still use it for phone calls if needed. They sound really good for the price. Not ideal for mixing of course, but for listening to mp3 files they are hard to beat for the price.
