Hi Gab

Thank you

I continue my work on vibrato

Keep going!!
Manu RASSE
Hi Gab

What do you think about 2 take : Neck VS Bridge pick up

https://soundcloud.com/guitare-capture/work-on-carlos-santana-style-neck

https://soundcloud.com/guitare-capture/carlos-santana-style-bridge

Gabriel Leopardi
Hi MisterM, both takes sound good, but the first one (neck) sounds closer to the original lesson so I would go for that one.

Manu RASSE
Hi Gab

I posted to REC SECTION, I hope it's good
I am aware that my playing is lacking aggressiveness.
Also, as instructors had already told me several time, I am a quiet player maybe too quiet... rolleyes.gif

About sound mix :
Preset TH3 overloud : https://www.archive-host.com/panel-v4/file-...=&consulter
Gain Sound Card 90% / Guitar volume 7/10

I chose to add the go pro take sound with -5 db.
I feel that the tone sounds less dry,
Sometimes it's possible you hear my mediator shots on the pickguard

Gabriel Leopardi
Hi mate!

Everything is amazing here!! That trick for the mix is great! I've done it for some instagram videos and the result is very nice to hear. I like when you can hear the direct take but also some ambience and strings pick attack, the feel is great.

Your playing is also very good here. Every phrase sounds tight and with a nice feeling. It's true that there is lacking some dynamics work, mostly more agression, but that's the only thing that I would comment, there other elements are amazing. I'll grade it with a 9 at rec.

Congrats friend!!!
Manu RASSE
Thank you Gab

Next : Tastes of harmonic major
I playing 100% since 7/8 days .

Audio take in a few days
Maybe Video take this week

Gabriel Leopardi
Congratulations mate!! That's killer!!! I can't wait to see you rocking it. smile.gif

Enjoy it!!
Manu RASSE
Hi Gab

This morning I made a video take
I wanted to subject it to the REC section but when I listening I am not very satisfied

It's very very difficult to make better about precision.
What do you think about it ? It is satisfactory ?

Gabriel Leopardi
Hi MisterM! Great job here!!

This is a tricky lesson and you are playing the whole thing at tempo and most of the parts sound clean and clear! Your timing is also good here. I'm sure that this will pass at REC.

There are just a few parts where there are unwanted noises, or some very little timing issues, and there is also room to improve dynamics, but all this will be fixed after more days/weeks of practice.

Congrats on your hard work mate.
Manu RASSE
Thx Gab

I'll wait a few time
I'll try to make a last take in 15 days for rec section

That sounds good mate!
Manu RASSE
Hi Gab

I wanted to play Gibson

I didn’t have the courage to play on the amp as I did on the previous video.
I made a take with "native instrument Guitar Rig"
I hope that it will good

I can't make better, I posted on REC SECTION.

Gabriel Leopardi
Hi MisterM! Great job here.

I can notice all the hard work that you put on this one. Your playing is tight and precise along the whole take, and I like your feeling here, great use of vibrato mate. There are some little missed note but nothing really serious, this is a good take.

I like that guitar, is it new? I think that your tone could have more treble/prescence. It lacks definition in some parts, but once again, this is not serious, it's just a small detail.

In order to get the most from this lesson, I recommend you to dedicate some time to understand the theory behind all those notes, and the relation with the backing's chords. Then, try your own improvisation ideas over it.

Ok mate, congrats on your great job!
Manu RASSE
Hi Gab,

Thank you for your opinion.
Also, Darius' comment makes me happy.

About GIBSON, it's not a new guitar. I bought this SG with my first salary 27 years ago. When I was young, I was a very bad tinker, I destroyed my SG, I gave it to a Luthier, he renovated it, SG has no more pecuniary value than sentimental value.

After a new listening to my HeadPhone, I agree with your feeling that there is a lack of trebble.
The next take will be recorded with my amp, I hope an improvement.

I try it sometimes.
It’s not easy to give meaning to the C Major scale – To add a G# is fun, but I don’t know well the nec , I still have to work.

My Daily Work

Neoclassical Three-Level-Lesson, Beginner
The work on vibrato and little shred section is amazing, I love it (stratocaster)

Simple Metal Solo
This lesson need a lot of precision, it's hard to get good tone without noise. (Gibson)

Triplet Etude
I keep the hard work..
I learned again a few sections by copying the Piotr's fingertip.
I had some flaws to correct.
I've been playing it every day for months and she always likes me as much.

I will make a take in a few weeks
Gabriel Leopardi
Hi MisterM!

Thanks for the update and congrats for the good job and comments that you've received at the REC take. You really deserve it!

Keep working on those lessons, I'll wait for your takes.

Cheers mate!
Manu RASSE
Hi Gab

This morning, I made a short take after 3 days of work.

I continue to improve it

Gabriel Leopardi
Good job here MisterM! There are two elements that need some attention:

- Timing: Mostly when playing triplets.

- Vibrato: It's wide enough but a bit irregular. Try to make it sound more consistent.
Manu RASSE
Hi Gab

Ok I keep hard work,
I play "beginner" and "intermediate" lesson

Also, I work Simple metal Solo

Also I posted a new take of Winter Wonderland to Rec Section
Gabriel Leopardi
Hi mate! Good job here! Those lessons are going very well. I only think that you need to give both some more time to feel more comfortable and give more feeling to both.

This has been a killer year for you. You've done an amazing work at GMC. How many lessons have you mastered? Do you have the number?
Manu RASSE
Thank Gab

I keep Hard Work

This year, I posted 8 takes - I validated all with an average score of 8.35 / 10 smile.gif
I'm happy - I know some takes can be improve.

I’ve earned some trust.
I keep humility because I still have a lot of work to do but I am happy with the progress I have made

My 2019 goals, in difficulty order

Single metal Solo
Alternate picking Workout 7
Three level "Beginner and Intermediate"
Funk Rock Etude
Rock Essentials -1
Triplet Etude
Hybrid Picking Ghost Note

I can’t focus on one lesson. My experience is that I lose motivation if I do that.
I prefer to play 3/4 lessons every day. It’s longer but I keep the mind and I love it

What do you think about this selection ?

Also, GMC generates so many new lessons, it is possible that I give up all this during a few time for a
Gabriel Leopardi
Hi MisterM! Those are killer statistics! Congrats on passing all those lessons mate.

The lesson choice is perfect if it keeps you motivated and practising. Let's start a new successful year!

Happy 2019!
Manu RASSE
Thx Gab

yesterday I saw a classic lesson vivaldi winter arpeggios

It's a very good exercice but memorization of some sections is really difficult.
I’ll work a few days if it’s too hard I’ll give up.

Yeah! Classical pieces are very difficult to memorise!
Manu RASSE
After some hours of work, I memorized smile.gif
I’m gonna need a few months of work.
Speed is a weakness that I will try to improve

Manu RASSE
Thank you Gab biggrin.gif

Here my work on BT 2 = 97 BPM

I try not to push the strings to relax, this is a job that is not easy.
I’m gonna stay at this speed for a few days

What do you think about my right and left hand position ? Good or not ?

Gabriel Leopardi
That's going very well mate!! There is nothing to fix here. Keep practicing!
Manu RASSE
Hi Gab

I twisted my pinky this morning, it’s not broken, I can move it.

I stop practicing for a few days sad.gif

Hi Gab,

During a sporting session, it is a shock with a pull bar
Today I feel better, the finger is deflated. It's a bit painful But I think I can play guitar

Take care and wait another day if it's painful.
Manu RASSE
Hi gab

It's ok, I can play without pain.

107 BPM max for the moment about Vivaldi winter arpegios.
It's not smooth, I work 90/100, some sections are very hard

Question :
Why my take 2 "Winter Wonderland"has received only 2 rating out of 3 ? sad.gif
Gabriel Leopardi
Hi mate! Thanks for the update. Great to know that your fingers feel good now. Take care! smile.gif

Don't worry about the grading, you'll receive a new one soon. All takes have a minimum amount of grades before they are closer. You can contact Fran who leds that part of the forum.

Manu RASSE
Ok Gab

I wait, no problem

About my daily training (2h/D)
I work a lot of lessons - Speed is always an obstacle.
Maybe it’s a lack of work or maybe it’s a natural weakness.

I continue to work. However, I need to play an easy lesson so that I don't lose confidence.
I saw this one happen on the GMC page and I like it very much, it’s not fast and I love it.

https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Pinky_Exercise/

Here my work on 100 BPM VIVALDI winter arpeggios (Eb stratocaster)

Gabriel Leopardi
That's sounding great MisterM! Those arpeggios are starting to sound very consistent. Congratulations!!

I think that it's a good idea to add lessons that motivate you so the new suggestion sounds great!
Manu RASSE
Hi Gab

Today I made exercices during 40 mn on each sequences of Vivaldi Winter Arpeggios lesson
I started 80/83/86 BPM etc... Max up 110 BPM bpm
I'll make a new video when I would be a little more comfortable.

About Index VS Pinky
I memorized all sequences, I lose the synchronization around 45 sec , I have to work a little more
Except for this, I have no difficulty

have a nice day smile.gif
Gabriel Leopardi
Hi mate, well done!! Thanks for the update!

Have a nice day. smile.gif
Manu RASSE
Hi Gab

Here my work - Index VS Pinky
I play on the bridge humbucker SG - I cut the trebble tone - what do you think about tone
I have some work on synchronisation

The backingtrack link is not complete like the original, I added the beginning with that of siniza

https://soundcloud.com/guitare-capture/work-on-gmc-index-vs-pinky

Vivaldi Winter Arpeggios 90% Speed ≈ 110 BPM

- 3 days of work 55%
https://soundcloud.com/guitare-capture/vivaldi-winter-arpeggios-learn-55-speed

- 5 days of work 70% : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Sc2vZJKNwg

- 11 days of work 80% : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGMLB_N6s70

- 15 days of work 90% - It's not confortable, I shall to work smile.gif

Gabriel Leopardi
Hi mate!

Great job here! Both lessons are gong very well. I don't hear relevant issues in the Index vs Pinky one, it's sounding good. The other also sounds good at this tempo, I can suspect that you'll be reaching normal tempo very soon.

Congrats!
Manu RASSE
Hi Gab

Thank you, I keep hard work

Simple Metal SOLO
It's not perfect but I feel progress
Darius gave me some advice via private message
I shall to work about noise and timing on some sections

Index VS Pinky
I feel bad about synchronisation and timing, I shall to work too

Gabriel Leopardi
Hi MisterM!

Yes, I notice that timing is the main thing to improve in both of those takes. The issue is not dramatic but it's the thing that you need to focus in order to polish your playing in both lessons. I don't see the sync issue in the second lesson since it only uses one hand, what do you exactly mean? left hand's fingers movements?
Manu RASSE
I’m talking about synchronization with open string

Gabriel Leopardi

Ah ok! It makes sense now.
Manu RASSE
Hi Gab

Index VS Pinky
I work with metronome 100/110/120/130 BPM
I feel better, take soon.

VIVALD Winter Arpeggios
My work to 114 BPM with "guitar pro" and my amp (GoPro Direct Sound)

Gabriel Leopardi
Hi MisterM!

Good job here. That Vivaldi lesson is sounding very well. I don't notice any technique issue to fix here, it's flawless mate! Congrats!

And thanks for the update regarding the other lesson, keep on the hard work!
