it "flew" as if it was stringed up... almost
Sure is fun to watch. When I was a teenager I lived in the basement of our house. I was kind of beliving all of these things, which I belive also makes it easier to see and be convinced. But one time in the middle of the night I went to the bathroom, which was right outside my bed room, in the basement too i.e.
When I opened my bedroom door, well first off it's like this, I always used to turn on the light in my room since it was quite a bit to the switch for the light in the hallway. Past the bathroom to be exact and at age 13-14 I wasn't very keen on walking in a pitch dark spooky hallway with a couple of doors on each side.
So, the light in my room was turned on and I opened the door and I saw the bathroom door closing. It went from full open (like if you imagine it being 90 degrees open, not a full 180 degrees) to closed, not shut but you know like if you give the door a push and it slowly goes almost shut.
Well, I found it spooky but I figured my brother went from upstairs to the toilet downstairs and just gave the door a swing before disappearing through the third door that led to the staiway.
I'll finish the story in a second, I just want to add that when living there in the basement, this occured some 25 years ago now, I remember having terrible nightmares - or if it was something I senced when being half asleep and half awake - about figures sitting next to my bed or sounds from outside my wall. But as soon as I woke up or what I did and turned on the light beside my bed all disappeared. All that was left was sheets that were wet from cold sweat and my body was all sweaty and I was freezing.
End of this story that I still don't know the answer to is that next morning during breakfast I asked who went to the basement toiled, the reply didn't make me feel very sequre since noone had been there...
Later in age between 18-25 something I used to take a rest during daytime and maybe once a year or so I had these wierd experiences. I think there's a name for it, for this state of body and mind, but I can't remember what it is. Maybe someone else know when I tell how I felt.
Taking a rest but suddenly feeling awake, I could sence some precense in the room, hostile, trying to call out but I can't. Trying to get up but I can't move a muscle. It's like the only things working is heart beating and I'm breating. But I can't move and I can't speak, not even whisper but I'm fully aware of my surroundings, and this presumable hostile presence.
After what seem to be forever this state loosen up and I can so to say "wake up" like normal and move and speak. By at this time the precense is gone already.
Beeing a teenager living in the basement feeling scared had it's charm, so did the "wake" state but now it's been ages. It certainly was great for ones imagination if it had nothing else positive. Oh, and I watched a lot of scary movies as a teenager about ghosts and zombies etc and I belive that helped
Anyway, now a days I can appreciate scary movies like "the grudge" and "ringu", I lost interest for splatter movies like "feast" f.ex but still enjoy zombie flicks a lot, not so scary though as they used to be
The real world and all the bad things going on there is more scary than fiction and that could be part of the problem, it's killing ones imagination.
Creep up on me from behind and should BOH and I might jump. Should apreciate those moments I guess.
Recently, like 10 years ago, I lived in a 200 sqm old house all by myself. Far out by the country side, the house had lots of history (our family house) where the older part of the house was built in like 1650 and the newer part in 1810 or so. Very old, all the possibilities to be a haunted house but I guess I was too grown up since nothing scared me there.
A funny thing happend once though. Me and a friend were rehearsing there before a trip abroad to perform (with MIDI backup). During a break we went up to the attic and looked through all the old stuff. My buddy found an old cain and started to fool around walking like old and crippled, fast cain walking and other fun stuff. The day after when he woke up his right foot was all swollen and he couldn't stand on it. I had to drive him to the hospital and the got support for the foot and crutches and was disabled for two weeks.
Never happened to him before, and up til today never again. I have learned one thing and that is to not trust random occurances. Fooling around with a cain, day after a swollen foot, of course it was the owner of the cain watching and not appreciating the joke with funny walking and had his revenge by putting my friend on crutches.
I guess it's healthy to keep an open mind
