I mentioned that I was sort of in the same place (hate everything I play, don't want to practice, etc.). I also mentioned that it's common for musicians to feel that way regardless of their level and that I'll force myself out of it by working on something different and outside of what I usually do.
This time I tried to learn some African guitar music (Angola, 70s) without using a pick. After about 4 days of messing with some of it and blending it with my own thing, it's turned into this ...
Regardless of whether or not that particular jam becomes a piece of music doesn't matter to me. Mission accomplished. I don't hate guitar anymore. *For now
