Original lesson: Tastes of Harmonic Major by Chris Harrington

I know this lesson is for an acoustic guitar.
I wanted to learn this one because I love Chris’s music.

When I listen to the original, my take is not very cool.
I don't have enough experience to reproduce smooth playing of Chris.
I have given the best of myself, I want to work on other lessons.

Working hard as usual. Pleasant thing to notice is that for few years now you challenge quite musically-wise difficult lessons. At some point i feel like it's only the author of the lesson that can make it sound that particular way.

In your take the mood of the lesson is was kept and with your previous jazzy-kind-of experience from other lessons, you're just the right person to give this a try. Because of the style and tonal reference I see no problem using electric instead of acoustic...I would probably go for some more treble cut though.

I think I have mentioned this somewhere in the previous lessons/takes and at this point we can confirm it's a general issue to be fixed - your softest pick strokes. You do not get as smooth tone from your soft picking as it is required. Try to make sure your pick is flat (no pick-to-string angle) to get best tone-to-pick-noise ratio. You need to get it even lower with the volume. It should sound almost like legato. BTW at some points you probably do pick the note instead of legato. At some spots you also miss a little of the laid bakc that Chirs makes in his video. It's all very difficult to copy. At the stronger parts it sounds pretty solid but the softest notes ned to get that warm, jazzy taste. You are close, but it's still not teh way it should sound. Anyway it's piece of great work!

I think you are surprisingly close, tone wise, with your SG.

One thing that catches my ears is that towards the end of the take your technique is not quite as tight and you probably need to spend some more time tweaking the details as it gets trickier here.

Yet you provide an over all solid feel as usual- you get an 8 from me!
