Hi, here are several that I work this lesson. I chose it for my timing problem. It is not perfect yet but I would like your opinion.

This is one of my favorites from my archive. This one is good for timing but also to master dynamics. I think that you did a good job in most of the lesson. I only notice timing issues from 00:36 to 00:46 and around 01:04.

The other parts sound tight, and you could only improve bit more your dynamics, in other words, you can make the accents more defined.

By the way, I’m impressed of your progress with this lesson mate, congratulations!

Please follow your foot movement, and check what happens at 00:36. You are no longer feeling the pulse.

So the solution here is to focus on being able to keep the pulse while going between the different sections.

I would like to clarify that the reason you might be experiencing a problem with this part and maybe not when playing other lessons - is likely because you are also going between economy picking and alternate picking (the different sections use different picking technique). Economy picking requires you to actively think about the pulse while strict alternate picking has "built in" pulse.

Oddly enough it is the alternate picking part that is giving your problems, probably because you haven't really bothered focusing on keeping the pulse over this section.

So please play the transition between these two parts very slowly while focusing on the pulse, and you should be able to quickly solve this problem.

Well played! Your tone is good as well! Very nice home studio too!! No need to repeat what the others have said here. As was mentioned there are a few spots that need to be looked at as your hand seems to be trying to decide which picking method to use and in doing so it seems as if you lose a beat now and then. Keeping your foot tapping is a good way to maintain your internal metronome. Also playing with a click and then playing again without the click can help as well. Eventually you will develop your own internal metronome. It's just a matter of repetition and practice. I think you have made good gains on this one. You can keep working on it and maybe pick a new one to start on. As for this one, solid 7!

Hey there!

Your take makes a good, first impression. You are focused and clearly trying to keep things tight. Beginning sounds promissing but you start to have some problems towards the end. In the middle part you have changed the rhythm - moved to accent on a different note - easy to spot when you play alternately with original. In the quiet part (with just the hi-hat holding the time) you are off with every second accent which should be perfectly at "2 and" which means if you hit the floor with your foot, it should be in it's max, upper position. I can notice you struggle what to do with your foot becasue this accent is exactl inbetween foot beats It's a common problem while learning any instrument. Try to practise playing accentds while loudly counding and beating with your foot. It takes time but the trick is to always know perfectly where in timeline each notes happen. I thik that the choice of lesson is great to help you go thgouh this. The more problems it brings, the more you can workout and more profit will be taken.

Besides this you have a tasteful tone adn dynamics control + very good tone match.
