Very cool that being able to work with orchestral sounds has such an availability these days. Not too long, only 10 something years ago people has to link 3-4 computers together to get a fulfilling sound (which is still happening but only Zimmer like guys need that).

The tech. of sampling didn't really change much but aside computers getting stronger, they also started sampling more non-traditional or purpose based sound samples which (if you know your library well enough) really speeded up the overall process.

But more importantly, you don't have to pay a fortune to get simple but nice sounding (for example strings) orchestral samples either, there is an option for every budget leaving no excuses if one wants to try out an idea.

That is amazing imho. That spitfire string collection sound great. Doesn't sound canned and fake. it really does sound like a resident Evil soundtrack.
