Hey Muris
I wanted to make sure and get a good answer from somebody on this and figured you would know. smile.gif Ok question is if you dont use the whammy on a tremolo style fender bridge would it matter to just put a hardtail bridge in?Are there any positive's about using a hardtail bridge over a tremolo style if whammy is not a need?Basically i bought a new tremolo replacment bridge for my fender awhile back and since then i know i didnt install it that great.I mean you know its in there right i just didnt set it up as far as intonation, action and trem springs ect in back.I could ramble on about this topic for awhile so i will just cut it off here and ask tell me everything you can about the differnce in these 2 bridges positives and negitives ,and would there would be a problem putting a hardtail in my fender as long as it's same measurments as the tremolo style i currently have in it? laugh.gif

Thanks Dude

Here I am after all Dan smile.gif
Honestly,I never used hardtail on guitar with hole for tremolo.
But if you're not using bar..why not smile.gif
Just do fine measuring to get all screws in the right places.
Or you can put Floyd over same tremolo hole like I did on my custom(my Axis has same type of bridge).
There are few options ,as always...
Tell me if you need anything else!! smile.gif

So you actually had a normal trem on your guitar and were able to put a floyd in and it fit fine??What about the lock nut at top of neck??
thanks

Yeah, bridge will fit but you'll only have downway of whammy movements.
And you'll need to drill a bit for locking as well.
I don't think you should do that by yourself tho, find some fine luthier or som smile.gif
