Yeah I own several guitars. This one, a JEM77B, Jackson, Fender Strat, ESP Kirk Hammett sig, Epi LP, 2 Alvarez acoustics, 1 6-string and 1 12-string, etc. biggrin.gif

Buy one! tongue.gif

There is also the cheaper version of it. It's made by OLP which is owned by Ernie Ball I believe. Here it is.

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/OLP...Pack?sku=516053

I know one of the instructors who used to work here had one. Sean Conklin had one, and I think it still sounded brilliant. I'd get one if I didn't have the money for the real thing. But I collect guitars and anything else that goes with it, so i'm all about getting the real versions of everything.

I hope to get a Les Paul or a PRS soon, and maybe even a Carvin.

Thanks for a good review! A really cool guitar that one and 2000 USD is not that bad compared to whast it cost here. Many different models it seem but anywhere between 3500-4000 USD.

What does all the knobs and switches do?
JVM
If I were to venture a guess, the top switch is likely the pickup selector, the other silver switch is the piezo/magentic switch, and the three regular knobs are volume for magnetic pups, tone for magnetics, and volume for piezo. At least, thats the basic setup on my piezo nitefly (except the pickup selecter is like a strat one).

[edit] or does this one even have piezo? I remember reading something recently about a guitar with some.. maybe this wasnt the thread biggrin.gif

Well I don't have the one with the switch on the top so I don't know what that is for, most likely for more pickup options. But the other switch is for switching between pickups. The knobs are for tone and volume.

I think I am going to buy the Family Reserve Model next its so sick!

It's the one used in the video.

How much would that be in USD?
Muris Varajic
1850-1900 usd,circa.
To explain sentence before,I wanted to say that every guitar is different,
even if it has almost the same specs like some other,
you just can't make 2 identical guitars. smile.gif

Yeah I figured that's what you meant. In other words every guitar even if it's the same model still has it's own "personality". Is that a good way to explain it?
Muris Varajic
Yeah,has its own soul wink.gif

Does MK have a web site that I could check out.
Muris Varajic
Not at the moment unfortunately,it's small custom shop,
usually orders go by recommendation.
I tried to explain it HERE

That it is.

Congrats on the new guitar, looks awesome!

Why do you prefer it over the Jem, is it the look, neck/action, tone from the pickups?
I was interested in getting a Jem next year but there always seems to be another guitar that looks just as good, unfortunately it's too expensive for me start a collection like yours lol.

I like the sound and feel for it better. It's also a heavier sounding guitar so great for metal too. But you may like a JEM better who knows, try them both out.

i like how it has easy access to all the frets, and the finish is nice, the only thing i dont like about them is the small head stock.. haha it bothers me for some reason..
