Location: Tetovo, Macedonia
Date of Birth: January 26th, 1987
Been playing guitar since: 2001 - 2002
I started playing guitar at the age of 14, inspired by bands like Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and Black Sabbath. For the first 2 years or so I wasn’t very dedicated to the instrument, but one day I discovered the music of Joe Satriani and my musical goals suddenly changed. In the period of 2004-07 I was member of various local bands, playing all kinds of music, covers and originals, playing all over the country. In 2008 I won the “best guitar player” award on Rock Fest, a festival promoting young talents. Currently I work as a “hired gun”, I teach privatly and I’m preparing my first album.
Playing and Influences
Quality, quantity ... Searching for individual musical expression ... All-around, balanced playing…Versatility ... These are the things I constantly repeat to myself and the things I aim for. The ability to sucessfully translate the musical ideas and visions on the guitar, or any instrument for that matter is the ultimate goal for me. I work on aquiring the tools required on a daily basis and I’m more than happy to share everything I know so far.
Speaking of influences, I’m influenced by 70’s and 80’s music the most, although I’m open to new artists and various genres and I discover some great new stuff every day. As a player the following guitarists had the greatest impact on me: Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Jimmy Page, Eddie Van Halen, Jimi Hendrix, Yngwie Malmsteen, Richie Kotzen, Paul Gilbert, Greg Howe, Guthrie Govan ...
I’ve been teaching guitar privately for years, and during the process I learned what it takes to organize the information and present it in understandable way. GMC gave me the opportunity to take this to a whole new level and I’m very grateful for that. It’s great to be a part of this wonderful community where you can find great lessons by even greater instructors and friendly people willing to learn.
