Location: Gothenburg, Sweden
Date of Birth: Jan 21 1979
Been playing guitar since: Â1992
I was introduced to classical piano music when I was only a few years old. Later on I also started taking classical guitar lessons, but it was when I was around 13 years old that I first got an electric guitar – and my life changed! I practiced day and night for years and I was just amazed by how many techniques there were, and how much could be done with the tone. I still think that the guitar is one of the most versatile instruments.
Playing and Influences
My early influences were the great pianists like Chopin, Liszt, Beethoven, etc. and they are still a big influence when it comes to choice of notes, but for guitar playing, one the most important things for me is how the notes are played, and there are a few guitarists that have made a big impact on me; Yngwie Malmsteen, Jason Becker, Marty Friedman, Shawn Lane, Steve Vai, to name a few...
I don't know of a better place for guitarists and I wish I had this friendly place to go to when I started playing guitar. I learn a lot from both students and other instructurs, and I also get to produce lessons that hopefully inspire our members so that they'll want to learn even more.
