  • Hi and welcome to my latest lesson, which is a mega-sized riff extravaganza!

    You lucky so and so's have a feast of classic rock, prog rock, metal and grunge riffs ahead of you, all slammed together in one long track.

    The idea is that you'll improve your technical abilities whilst getting a taster of some great bands at the same time.

    Some of the sections are more technical than others so expect to encounter power chords, alternate picking, picking arpeggios, slides and hammer-ons. In order, the bands whose riff ideas we're borrowing are as follows;

    Led Zeppelin
    Guns n' Roses
    King Crimson
    Deep Purple
    ZZ Top
    Black Sabbath
    Judas Priest
    Iron Maiden
    Dream Theater
    Pearl Jam

    Get ready to dive into rock history!

    E A D G B E
    Various, starting at 95bpm
    Ibanez RG7421, Marshall JVM, Overloud TH3, Cubase, Superior Drummer
