I really like the mix 'n match concept - hopefully we will get some feedback on this!
Great Lesson.. Thnx M8.
Hi Chris
Great lesson.
Hmm... 30 riffs... 30 days in a month... seems like a great daily workout. Great lesson! Love it!
Great lesson Chris!!
Great sounding and very helpful lesson!
Lessons not playing automatically as I open, only getting backing track, I want instruction part first, Thanks drumonica
Screen not always loading only sometimes!?.
Frustrating, doesn't always loading, nopause, no reverse, hence no replay, had to go into Youtube to achieve that, Tabs are showing notes not within that scale shown. No slow down video instruction. All too fast to see. Spent most of a day just trying to see what is happening in video, Shame cause it's exactly the sort of thing I want to move onto, Great sound though
@drumonica I have replied to your support email!
Your not actually taking the time to teach, show and explain how it's done, your simply playing it full speed, no facility, other than you tube to reply or pause. This is more than the scale shown, I have spent all day trying to learn from tab, not my preferred choice. I learn best from watching, and this is not close up, explained enough or slow enough to do that. I've been playing for years and this is my first real attempt at blues. Frustrated after being very excited by this.
I Have tried accessing on my laptop and phone, still no video on individual steps. Would like refund please.
Great stuff Chris, thanks a lot. Love the way you explain, very clear. Will be spending a lot time on this, enjoy it fully. Great if you can play like you can, or like SRV for that matter :-)
hellz yeah, got some Danny Gatton-ism's in there...sweet titties
like it so far
Working on this now, gonna take a while Great lesson, thank you Chris
Thanks for the encouragement Kris
Hardest part so far is #4 the SRV style bass line with open string strumming, I've tried that kind of thing before and given up, I ain't gonna give up this time. Gotta earn it
That's the spirit Phil!! π
Excellent lessons! Glad I found this course. Very handy to have the notes too.
Is that the mentioned "12 bar blues chord chart"?
| E7 | E7 | E7 | E7 |
| A7 | A7 | E7 | E7 |
| B7 | A7 | E7 | B7 |
Other sources thought me the progression like this
I I I I
IV IV I I
V IV I I
Is the progression used in this course specific to E blues or just a personal preference?
Hi HAL900!
The progression used in this lesson is 12 bar blues in E. That version with roman numerals is the generic version as it related to the "I" or any tonality, and the "IV" and the V. In this case, the tonality is E so the "I" is E, the "IV" is A and the "V" is B.
Does it make sense?

Thank you for your reply Gabriel.
Yes this makes it much more clear. Another question:
The last two chords of the generic progression are I and I, but the chart in the video description has E7 and B7. Shouldn't be the last two chords E7?
That last part is usually known as turnaround. The most common is "I - V", but "I - I" is also an option. There are many possibilities when talking about blues progressions, but the one that is used in this lesson is the most common.

He played one full blues cycle with 3 riffs in the 2nd video. Each riff was played once in the the following order: E7, A7 and then B7. Does that mean the E7 riff contains 4x E7 measurements, the A7 riff contains 2x A7 measurement and 2x E7 measurements and B7 the rest ? Somehow it should match the pattern:
E7 | E7 | E7 | E7 |
| A7 | A7 | E7 | E7 |
| B7 | A7 | E7 | B7 |
How do you decide if a riff (measurement) is E7, A7 or B7?
