I have a question, I hope that you will agree to answer.
Before playing a lesson, I always try to understand how it is built. You made a video on the modes : "7 modes in 7 different keys"... I spent of long hours to translate this one... my children helped me, they speak better English than me.
Can you say me, if the translation is good... Before translating into French I want to be assured to have all understood.
Here the link of subtitles .odt and an other .txt I hope that you can read them
Scrubbing / forward / rewind: arrow right, arrow left keys Jump to start: Home or `s` , you can also click/tap the lesson part again (the numbers above player) Go to next part: PageUP or End. ( iOS: swipe right or left over video ) Volume: ArrowUp / ArrowDown keys Go to any part: Number keys (combinations also possible) Pause or play: `k` or space key Fullscreen: `f`, esc to close
It's time for some interesting concept to learn the most important 7 Modes.
But instead to do this in just one key (i.e. C Major: C Ionian, D Dorian, E Phrygian, F Lydian, G Mixolydian, A Aeolian & B Locrian) I always kept the bass on a C note PLUS the corresponding chords of each mode. So in another words you'll get 7 different keys and learn to compare each mode individually.
To give you a better demonstration how different each mode sounds, I made 2 licks for every mode. (14 licks in total)
I tried to transcribe as close as possible. Specially in the Guitar Pro 5 you'll find all this little extras!
Cheers - Guido
