  • HEY GMC!

    Welcome to my new lesson!

    This time i've put together a lesson that shows how an 8 bar blues work (yes you heard me right) 8 bars not 12.

    The 8 bar blues is the lesser known little brother of the 12 bar but has a character all of its own. It still uses the I IV and V chords but in a different progression.

    I'd highly recommend listening to 'Key to the Highway' to hear a full song in the 8 bar style, my personal favourite version is by Big Bill Broonzy but theres some great versions by BB King and Eric Clapton.

    CHORDS;

    A7 | E7 | D7 | D7 |
    A7 | E7 | A7 D7 | E7 |

    GEAR USED;

    GODIN 5th AVENUE MAPLE
