  • Welcome to the Beginner Hybrid Picking lesson

The idea of this lesson is to help beginners make a very first steps into the world of hybrid picking technique. Hybrid picking (also called chicken picking) can make licks with wide string skipping patterns, easy to play. It not only affects the comfort of playing but also affects the tone. Notes played with fingerpicking sound a little warmer, comparing to the typical picking (pick stroke). This way we get additional colors for our solos and we can improve our dynamics control.
