  • Welcome to the Beginner Sweep Picking lesson

Lesson contains a few popular shapes with sweep picking involved. Sweep picking is a one direction right hand motion commonly used to play chord arpeggios, where we need to stroke "1 note per string" sequences. It gives the abilty to play really fast but it also has and extra difficulty on note separation. That's were the real lesson starts - we don't want sweep picking to sound like full chord strumming. It's not so easy when we need to use the same left hand finger to play single notes on different strings...one by one. Additional explanation can be found in spoken video and text comments under each slow part.
