The "Chicking Picking Chicken Reel" lesson is a take on an early 20th century fiddle classic and why not? A song like "Chicken Reel" is just screaming for some chicken picking twang. We trade the fiddle bow intro for a twangy bend. The style is top importance here. The tone is twangy. We're looking for a lightly overdriven, bridge pickup with a little slapback delay. The arrangement contains a A and B section. We play both sections twice.
