HEY GMC!
Today i've put together something in the style of
Robert Cray for you!
This lesson is a great companion lesson to the B.B's Blues lesson I made too. Robert Cray has a similar approach to B.B King so expect some very lyrical melodic lines and lots of lovely vibrato!
The harmony in this piece shows how Robert Cray really comes into his own as a songwriter, not your normal 12 bar blues here. The Solo follows the harmony closely so stay alert to the chords and how the notes are interacting with them.
Though we all love some gain if you really want to nail Robert's tone its a 'painfully' clean Fender Strat (sometimes Tele) and a whole lotta SOUL!
KEY: A Minor/ A Blues
