Fresh thinking Muris - this exercise looks like it could be a really tricky challenge! I am going to have a go at it.
Great exercise both for technique and timing!
Great topic Muris - interesting for phrasing !
Aaaaah, how could You keep up with this beat with no mistakes?! I`ll do this for sure but I think my brain would be dead after few minutes, this is pure torture!
btw, Muris, could You tell me, what music style are doing a lot of this kinda things? ( I mean changing starting spot of the beat) And what bands, if You can recommend some Would be cool to listen..
Alex, I can't think of any band or player that use THIS kind of displacements
cause this one was very specific and made to "confuse",
same pattern over and over, played on different spots.
But you can find lot of "tricky" timings within Jazz improvising, yeah.
And this lesson sure will be helpful, it`s reaaly tricky Great that You made it with hybrid picking, even more useful.
Excellent lesson Muris, awesome displacement tricks
Yeah, Hybrid Picking works great imo for this kind a smooth sound effect.
But as I said in explanation text you can play the same thing
with Alternate Picking or regular Legato,
might be good exercise for both while keeping the same focus on timing
which is the main subject here after all.
Wao ... challenging workout and a great lesson idea !!
Your pinky looks funny flexible ..
Nice work Muris!
excellent idea, focusing on beat you can play one pattern in dozens of ways!
Very cool pattern Muris, sounds really interesting, this should definitely help the players to break out of their regular up & down the scale routines
This is really cool. Muris you should cover a lesson on some of the other used of hybrid picking, like a Brett Garsed type thing.
But yeah, great lesson
Great thought provoking stuff as always Muris!!
Can you post a lesson on how to improve legato technique when sleeping ?! You rock, Muris !
Very nice and useful lesson Muris! Great job!
Great stuff bro

This was a sweet excercise Muris, thanks a lot! I will incorporate it into my daily practice for sure
incredible rock solid timing!
